Aim of investment The objective of the Hunter Hall International Ethical No.1 Fund is to increase the wealth of its investors by substantially outperforming the MSCI World Total Return Index, Net Dividends Reinvested (MSCI) over the medium to long term without incurring significant risk to capital.
Investment strategy The Fund follows a deep value strategy which involves investing in quality growth stocks priced substantially less than Hunter Hall's assessment of their intrinsic value. Investment is generally focused on international small and medium sized manufacturing, service and distribution businesses. The Fund's portfolio tends to be concentrated with less than 100 holdings.
Investment process The Investment Manager is committed to the concept of ‘responsible investing’ and follows an ethical investment policy across all its investments. It believes that investors should be able to know that the funds they invest are not used to support activities that might be considered unethical or not responsible. In particular, the Investment Manager believes that the Fund should not support companies which engage in activities that are, in its opinion, harmful to people, animals or the environment.
