European Corporate Governance Service (ECGS)
Centre Info is founding member of the European Corporate Governance Service. This partnership of specialised institutes provides voting advices to shareholders for annual meetings. They also analyse the Corporate-Governance-Structures of the most important European Stock corporations.



Background

Centre Info Ltd. is an independent company based in Switzerland that employs ten people, including six senior analysts. Centre Info benefits from more than 15 years of experience in the ESG notation.

Centre Info relies on its own data and data provided by SiRi Company to identify solutions suited to investors who want to consider ESG issues, either on the grounds of socially responsible investment or with the aim of minimising extra-financial risks in traditional investment.

Centre Info also conducts specific research projects related to ESG issues and provides advisory services for the conception of SRI products or for defining investment strategies in line with SRI concepts.

Research Centre Info performs Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) analysis by assessing the behaviour of companies towards their stakeholders, as well as towards society as a whole.

Centre Info analysis also puts into perspective the social and environmental issues affecting companies, and the consequences that such issues may potentially have on their performance. By assessing the exposure of companies to these issues and their possible response, ESG analysis represents an important complement to traditional financial analysis.

Criteria Centro Info developed a method to evaluate the sustainability of companies in 1997 and have enhanced it within the recent years based on its experiences.

In addition, Centre Info is a project partner of CSRR-QS®, a new European standard which has been drawn up with the objective of promoting confidence in those Groups performing Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility Research (CSRR). It is the first quality standard conceived and worked out at sector level in the field of CSR and SRI research and analysis. CSRR-QS 1.0® aims to maintain high quality management systems, to stimulate transparency, to facilitate assurance processes and to form a basis for further verification procedures.

Detailed analyses over the 1,800 most important capitalisations worldwide released through SiRi Pro, a online flexible database. SiRi Pro enables fund managers to develop their own SRI portfolios or serves as a basis for the development of customised products by Centre Info consultants.

Alert Service
The Alert Service provides a detailed and continuous follow-up of the behaviour of more than 1800 companies on issues ranging from human rights violations to environmental damage and the marketing of unsafe products. This is the first time such a service has been offered in the field of ESG analysis.

Country rating
The Country Rating tool allows screening of countries in a bond portfolio either by exclusion or by weighting. It may also be used for geographical asset allocation in a stock portfolio.
