Council

The external advisory board meets on a monthly basis to check and discuss all ratings. Only by its approval the ratings become valid. It consists of experts with specific knowledge in the areas of business, labour market, social politics, energy, biotechnology and genetical engineering, environmental engineering, inherit pollution burden and hydraulic engineering, environmental management systems and environmental reporting.

INrate is a member of öbu - Swiss association for ecological management and the German forum for sustainable investment.

Background INrate was founded in 2001 by NEST and INFRAS. NEST is an independent pension fund for small and mid-sized companies. NEST has been administering all members pension funds according to ecological and ethical criteria since 1983. INFRAS has been a research and consulting agency with a broad range of issues for 25 years. The jointly developed system for sustainability ratings has been used for years for NEST pension funds. This experience shall be made available to the broader public through the foundation of INrate and the cooperation with the Swiss Raiffeisenbanks.
