INrate |
Research |
INrate uses a self-contained method to evaluate ecological and ethical sustainability of companies. It is characterized by INrate as follows:
innovative the most progressive companies are identified across all industries by "best in service" approach
consistent the evaluation is comprehensive and end-to-end based on quantifiable information
strict companies generating parts of their turnover through principally non tolerable activities are excluded via negative-criteria
transparent Inrating is standardized, comprehensively documented and accountable. Our rating reports are available upon request
independent the evaluation of the ecological and social performance of a company is conducted completely independent from the financial attractiveness of the corresponding security. This guarantees appropriate and trustworthy decisions.
INrate´s starting point is the question, how a need for maximum environmentally and socially acceptable way of conduct can be satisfied. Products serving the same needs and therefore providing the same service have to face comparison within the same service-sector. This view goes beyond the conventional industry categorization and supports the structural change, since it compares problematic areas directly with ecological acceptable alternatives.

| Criteria |
Using the INrate method the companies are evaluated in three steps
- Negative criteria
- Company-evaluation using positive criteria
- Weighting and overall-evaluation
Negative criteria: companies involved in principally non tolerable activities are excluded from further evaluation

The qualitative information are transferred (graded) into figures by way of a clearly defined grid. Focal criteria are for example the lifecycle consideration of products (from the cradle to the grave), environmental impact of procurement and production, relation to employees, shareholders, suppliers and the public as well as the systematic consideration of ecological and social aspects in management.

Ranking- / Rating-
System |
The weighting and aggregation of the afore mentioned aspects by means of a value benefit analysis leads to an overall-evaluation of the company. It has to be 5% or more above average of the services sector in order to be listed as possible investment (investment-universe).
